The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLeary throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
McLeary throws a shot to the body.
Kesteckian tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McLeary paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McLeary changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Kesteckian throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McLeary lands a jab-cross combination.
Kesteckian misses with a combination
and McLeary counters with a three punch combo that has Kesteckian backing up. Kesteckian nods at McLeary to acknowledge the strikes.

McLeary lands a high kick to the side of Kesteckian's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! McLeary dives into guard, looking to finish.


Kesteckian is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McLeary slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Oh Kesteckian is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

McLeary must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kesteckian is wriggling around but McLeary manages to pass to half guard.

McLeary looking to control but Kesteckian is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
McLeary cracks Kesteckian with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
McLeary tries to control but Kesteckian wriggling away.
McLeary might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kesteckian kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
McLeary controlling the pace for now.
Kesteckian wants to try and get back to his feet.

McLeary takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Despite being in the dominant position, Paddy McLeary just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

It looks like Paddy McLeary has been cut.

and McLeary counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kesteckian is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Dennis Kesteckian is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kesteckian looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kesteckian escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by McLeary.
McLeary lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kesteckian's sensitive parts.
Kesteckian fails with an attempt to clinch.
McLeary throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
McLeary scores with a one two! Kesteckian had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McLeary is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Kesteckian hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
