Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Henrik Sedin!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morse gets a takedown into half guard.

Sedin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Morse's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Morse's back!

Morse trying to control the action but Sedin just sinks the hooks in.
Sedin is trying to stick to Morse's back but Morse is turning into Sedin. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Sedin's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Morse.

Morse wants to stand and escape but instead Sedin has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Morse has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Sedin wants to control from the top but Morse keeps moving.
Morse controls Sedin momentarily but Sedin frees himself.
Sedin tries to free his leg and advance position but Morse is retaining full guard.
Sedin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sedin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Morse is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Sedin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Morse manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sedin has Morse in his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Morse wants to stand but Sedin has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Sedin looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sedin moves into full mount!

Sedin goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Morse is on top in guard.
Sedin is breathing heavily.
Morse wants to control from the top but Sedin keeps moving.
Morse controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Morse trying to control the position from guard on top but Sedin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Morse postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Morse trying to move into half guard but instead Sedin has managed to sweep!

Morse is trying to maintain the position but Sedin is very close to passing his half guard.
Morse is refusing to be controlled, as Sedin sits in half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Morse is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Morse looks like he's trying to stand up.
Sedin has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Sedin goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Morse turns into him and now he's in Sedin's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Morse wants to control from the top but Sedin keeps moving.

Henrik Sedin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Sedin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sedin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Morse has given up his back. Will we see Sedin going for some submissions?
Morse manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Sedin is now in side control.
Morse prevents Sedin from moving into mount.
Sedin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Morse sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Morse is defending against the submission attempts here by Sedin.

Morse kicks off Sedin and gets to his feet.
Morse is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Morse with a poor takedown

and Sedin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Morse won't be happy with that.

Sedin goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Morse rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sedin's guard! Nice work there by Morse!

Sedin is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Morse wants to control from the top but Sedin keeps moving.
Morse is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sedin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Morse loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Morse trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Morse drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sedin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Morse has Sedin in his guard.
Sedin stands and throws Morse's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sedin working away.
Morse tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Sedin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Morse is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Morse is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Sedin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Sedin tries to move to mount but Morse blocks the move with his legs.

Sedin goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Morse rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sedin's guard! Nice work there by Morse!

And that's the end of the fight!
Henrik Sedin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sedin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
