Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Luke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeffrey Luke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Roger Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Luke darts in and clinches Gracie up against the ropes.
Luke prevents a takedown attempt there.

Luke breaks the clinch.
Luke moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Luke tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Gracie paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Luke throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily.
Gracie avoids the head kick by Luke.

Luke clinches.
Gracie avoiding damage as Luke throws knees to the body.
Luke lands a damaging elbow.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Luke obliges.

Luke's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Luke shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Luke was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jeffrey Luke just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Gracie tries to keep at a distance but Luke has taken the fight into the clinch.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Luke escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Luke tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Luke thows a body kick. Gracie tries to catch it but that hurt him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luke misses with a straight right.
Gracie with a poor takedown
and Luke counters with a head kick. That will keep Gracie thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Luke throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gracie was covering up waiting for the punch and Luke finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Luke wants to stand and escape but instead Gracie has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Luke keeps moving.
Gracie won't allow Luke to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Luke wriggles free and stands up.
Luke pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Luke throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Luke misses with a takedown

and Gracie decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Luke's guard.
Gracie is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Luke kicks Gracie off and gets to his feet.
Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Luke is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, Luke circles away and we're back to standing.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Luke counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Jeffrey Luke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roger Gracie.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Luke leaves Gracie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Luke tries a head kick but it misses.
Jeffrey Luke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Luke looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Luke is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gracie can do to turn this around?
Luke is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Luke decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Luke throws a head kick but Gracie moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gracie takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Luke shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Luke showed some decent athleticism there.
Luke throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Luke seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Luke is looking to stall here but Gracie recovers full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jeffrey Luke dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Luke has his takedown stuffed

and Gracie counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Luke!
Gracie takes Luke's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Luke is in trouble.
Gracie controls the action.
Gracie wants to control the position but Luke frees himself and scrambles - Gracie manages to regain control in side control.
Luke struggling a bit here.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Luke is being controlled here.
Luke sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Gracie looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Gracie takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Luke is looking to escape.
Gracie tries to pass the half guard into mount. Luke knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Luke is refusing to be controlled, as Gracie sits in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Luke wants to sweep but Gracie has passed to side control!
Luke is pushing Gracie's head away, looking to escape. Gracie manages to hold on to the position though.

Gracie is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Luke is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Jeffrey Luke is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Luke closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Luke lands in his opponent's guard.
Luke wants to stand and escape but instead Gracie has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

And that's the end of the fight!
Roger Gracie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Luke has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
