Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Martyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martyn has chosen Live For The Moment as his entrance music. Thomas Martyn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcus Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas Martyn!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up but Martyn swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lee tries to clinch but Martyn is having none of it.
Martyn moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Martyn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lee, pushing him back against the ropes.
Martyn drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lee stops a takedown attempt from Martyn.

Martyn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Martyn closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Martyn wants to take a breather but Lee manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Martyn.
Lee preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Martyn is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Martyn loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Marcus Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Martyn.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Martyn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lee.

and Martyn counters with a head kick. That will keep Lee thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Martyn goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Lee is on top in guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lee drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Martyn dives on top into guard.
Martyn wants to pass the guard but Lee is keeping the position.

Martyn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lee has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Martyn has managed to get both his arms back between Lee's legs - danger averted.

Martyn passes into half guard.
Martyn working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Lee tries to roll over but Martyn keeps him under control.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Martyn scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Lee is trying to break free.
Lee gets underhooks to prevent Martyn's takedown attempt.
Lee tries to score a body lock takedown but Martyn shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Martyn stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Martyn lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes.
Martyn has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lee is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Martyn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Martyn gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Martyn trying to control the action but Lee is working from the bottom.
Lee is looking for a sweep. Martyn is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Martyn is looking for a kimura but Lee is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Martyn to get the leverage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Martyn is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Lee is staying active underneath Martyn, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Martyn moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Lee.

Martyn is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lee knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Martyn stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Martyn misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Martyn tries to free his leg and advance position but Lee is retaining full guard.

Martyn stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Lee has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Martyn manages to get his head free but now Lee has transitioned to an armbar! Martyn grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Lee! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
