PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between nat north (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nitram Eyricus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eyricus has chosen Eat You by Limp Bizkit as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

north rushes Eyricus and presses him up against the cage.
Eyricus is trying to break the clinch but north is controlling him.

Eyricus jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as north walks away with a smile on his face. Eyricus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Eyricus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Eyricus shoots for a double leg takedown but north sprawls well. He's pushed Eyricus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

north had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Eyricus defends it easily.

north changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Eyricus looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

north is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Eyricus is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

north tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no north has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well north has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
