The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhodes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rhodes misses with an uppercut. Van Dammed saw that one coming.
Van Dammed misses with a takedown attempt - Rhodes sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nyrkki Kyllikki Van Dammed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Van Dammed shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Van Dammed was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rhodes tries to lock up and control but Van Dammed gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Rhodes is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
BOOM! Van Dammed connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Van Dammed sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Rhodes taps out!
