Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomson Kavalier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomson Kavalier has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jose Alves's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kavalier has hold of Alves's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Alves manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Kavalier jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Alves is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Alves and Kavalier has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Alves throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Alves. Kavalier shrugs it off though.

Kavalier misses with a takedown attempt - Alves sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Alves throws a nice looking combination but Kavalier bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
