Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Terppi Maekinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taro Mishima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mishima comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Heavy Metal Samurai kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maekinen scores with a nice strike.
Taro Mishima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maekinen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mishima lands with an overhand left.

It looks like Terppi Maekinen has been cut.
Mishima ducks under a wild hook from Maekinen.
Mishima steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Maekinen.

The fighters circling - Maekinen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Maekinen dodges the punch combination from Mishima.

and Mishima counters with a crisp right hand that drops Maekinen! Mishima lets Maekinen back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Mishima throws a nice looking combination but Maekinen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mishima lands a head kick. Maekinen smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

A looping hook to the body misses from Mishima. Maekinen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Maekinen is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Mishima has cracked Maekinen with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Mishima lands another huge swinging hook and Maekinen tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Maekinen, before Mishima can land any more shots!
