Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jered Hibersol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Sela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Sela.
Horrible takedown by Sela or perhaps it was just good defense by Hibersol which made him look bad.
Fernando Sela seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sela shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sela tries to clinch there but Hibersol circles away.

Sela shoots in and bounces Hibersol off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hibersol wants to get back to his feet but Sela is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hibersol wants to sweep here but Sela controlling him for the moment.
Hibersol bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sela's guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Sela has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Hibersol off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Sela keeps control of Hibersol as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Sela is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hibersol is keeping busy.

Sela escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sela fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Hibersol throws a nice looking combination but Sela bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hibersol misses with a few strikes there.
Sela thows a body shot but no joy.

Sela bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

That's time! Hibersol's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Hibersol fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sela.

Hibersol wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sela has him pressed against the cage.
Hibersol has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jered Hibersol has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sela remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Hibersol is trying to control Sela's posture but Sela avoids it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
