Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey The Dude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Daley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daley takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Nice takedown defense from The Dude. No joy for Daley on that attempt.
The Dude misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Daley.
The Dude thuds a left hand into Daley's body.
The Dude connects with a good right hand that stumbles Daley. Daley circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Daley takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Daley shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts The Dude as he jumps to the side.

The Dude bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The Dude looks up at the clock and then as Daley takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, The Dude smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The Dude is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Daley has escaped the position, nice work there.
The Dude trying to control the position but Daley is working away.
The Dude working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Dude working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Daley is looking to reverse the position.
You can see the frustration on Daley's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The Dude thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Daley seems a little lost for a moment, as The Dude dominates the positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Daley is trying to control The Dude's posture but The Dude avoids it.
The Dude is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The Dude has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Daley tries to bench press The Dude off him but The Dude keeps the position.

Daley is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on The Dude's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for The Dude! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Daley has tapped! This one is allllll over!
