Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Trainer Wrestle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Randy Savage!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage throws the left hand but Wrestle avoids the punch easily.
Savage misses with a hook. Wrestle ducked under it nicely.
Wrestle fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Wrestle tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Trainer Wrestle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Savage catches Wrestle with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!


It looks like Trainer Wrestle has been cut.
A left and a right from Savage both land. Nice combination.
Savage swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Savage shoots in looking for a takedown. Wrestle tries to sprawl out of it but Savage keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wrestle manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Wrestle has his takedown stuffed
and Savage connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wrestle gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Savage counter with a right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trainer Wrestle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A big right from Savage misses.
Savage throws an overhand right that lands on Wrestle's shoulder, as Wrestle tries to avoid the shot.
Wrestle shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Savage pinned against the cage. Savage gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Savage throws a left that rocks Wrestle and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Savage dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Wrestle regain composure!

Trainer Wrestle's cut is getting worse.

Wrestle on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Savage tries to score with some ground and pound. Wrestle controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Savage wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wrestle keeps working.
Wrestle sneaks back into half guard.
Savage is looking to stall here but Wrestle recovers full guard.
Savage trying to control but Wrestle is working from the bottom.

Wrestle wants to sweep but no luck.
Savage thows a big elbow that misses.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Savage accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Wrestle keeping full guard, as Savage tries to pass.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Wrestle tries to clinch up.
Savage misses with a hook. Wrestle ducked under it nicely.

Nice defenses there by Wrestle.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Wrestle.
Wrestle working away.
Wrestle misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Wrestle wants to take a breather but Savage manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Wrestle.
Wrestle wants to control from the top but Savage keeps moving.

Wrestle not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Wrestle tries to clinch but Savage moves away
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
and Savage counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wrestle closes the distance but Savage moves to the side
and Savage counters with a straight right hand.
Savage lands with a straight right. Wrestle didn't see that one coming.
Savage looks to throw the jab but Wrestle is out of range.
Wrestle tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Savage swivels and escapes.

and Savage counters with a straight right hand.

Savage lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.


Trainer Wrestle's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Savage defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wrestle.

Wrestle misses with a telegraphed body shot
letting Savage counter with a right hand.

Wrestle has taken the fight to the clinch.

Savage prevents Wrestle from breaking the clinch.

Savage might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Wrestle moves forwards but Savage connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Savage misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wrestle tries for a takedown but Savage sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Savage connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


Jeez, Trainer Wrestle's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Savage looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Savage cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Trainer Wrestle's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
