Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tony Jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bosse Grepp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaa comes to the cage accompanied by Search and Destroy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tony Jaa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bosse Grepp!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaa throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Grepp has a takedown stuffed.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Grepp.
Grepp shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tony Jaa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bosse Grepp.
Grepp tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jaa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Grepp somewhat.
Jaa leaves Grepp with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Grepp gets a clinch.
Grepp avoiding damage as Jaa throws knees to the body.
Grepp blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Jaa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

It looks like Bosse Grepp has been cut.

Grepp looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Jaa looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Grepp wants to free his trapped foot but Jaa is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Grepp is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jaa sees it coming and defends easily.

Jaa wants to improve his position but Grepp is controlling well.
Jaa regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Grepp.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Grepp looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Grepp looks for a takedown but Jaa sprawls well.
A slapping leg kick lands for Jaa.

Jaa buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Jaa fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Grepp.

Grepp looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jaa is fending him off so far but Grepp persists. Nope, Jaa circles away and we're back to standing.
Jaa comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jaa pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Grepp closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jaa is positioning himself well to prevent Grepp advancing to mount.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Grepp is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jaa has managed to free his arm - good work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Grepp thows a huge punch but Jaa dodges it nicely.
Jaa preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Grepp tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jaa knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Grepp looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jaa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jaa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Grepp is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Grepp shoots in but no luck this time.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jaa pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jaa throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jaa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jaa wants it to stay on the feet.
A nice leg kick lands there from Jaa.
Some wild striking there from Grepp.
Jaa misses with a body kick.
A head kick misses from Jaa.
Grepp fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Grepp.
Grepp shoots in for a double leg but Jaa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Grepp takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Jaa throws a push kick but Grepp slaps the foot to one side.
Jaa throws a head kick but Grepp moves out of range.
Jaa throws a body kick that misses.
Jaa throws a leg kick which misses Grepp's front leg but catches the back leg as Grepp tries to avoid it.

Jaa throws a wild body kick that Grepp sees coming a mile off.
Jaa stuffs the takedown.
Jaa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jaa looks to land a body kick but Grepp moved away.
Grepp shoots for a takedown but Jaa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Grepp changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jaa tries to avoid it but Grepp manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jaa to the ground. Jaa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jaa lands a head kick. Grepp smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Grepp looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jaa is fending him off so far but Grepp persists. Nope, Jaa circles away and we're back to standing.

Good leg kick by Jaa there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bosse Grepp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jaa fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Grepp.
