The crowd seem to be enjoying Joe's choice of entrance music: Rap Overdose. Rickson Araujo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Araujo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Joe was well out of range. Poor timing from Araujo.
Joe takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Araujo misses with an attempted mid kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Araujo.
Joe keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Araujo.

Joe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Araujo throws an overhand right that lands on Joe's shoulder, as Joe tries to avoid the shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Joe is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Araujo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Araujo has escaped and now he's on top!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Araujo tries to stand but Joe is controlling from the bottom.
Joe wants to stand and escape but Araujo is having none of it.

Joe is controlling Araujo's posture.

Araujo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Araujo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Joe looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Joe closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Araujo to the mat! Araujo manages to get full guard.

Joe throws and elbow that misses. Araujo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Joe's guard. Nice move by Araujo!
Joe wants to sweep here but Araujo controlling him for the moment.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Joe connects with a body shot.

Araujo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Joe throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Glass Joe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Araujo lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Araujo jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

and Araujo counters with a nice body shot.

Joe avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Araujo thows a left - swing and a miss!
Joe steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Araujo.
Joe takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Araujo thuds his right hand into Joe's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Araujo misses with a body kick.

Araujo gets caught flat footed, as Joe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Araujo looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Glass Joe is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Joe slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Joe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Araujo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Joe is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Joe looking to sit in guard and control but Araujo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Rickson Araujo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
