Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cleon Warlord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ryan vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warlord defends well against a solid takedown attempt from vader.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Poor strikes thrown by vader there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Warlord's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

vader closes the distance and clinches up with Warlord, looking for a takedown. vader pushes Warlord against the ropes but Warlord circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Warlord.
vader looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Warlord is fending him off so far but vader persists. Nope, Warlord circles away and we're back to standing.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from vader is defended easily by Warlord.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

vader with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Warlord keeping moving, preventing vader from controlling successfully.

Warlord knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for vader on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Warlord wants to get back to his feet but vader is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
vader is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

vader steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Warlord. That one must have hurt.
Warlord throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

vader tries to close the distance and clinch up but Warlord swats him away and circles back towards the center.
