Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, bruce Assman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Smith!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assman scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Assman blocks the body kick.
Smith on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Assman blocks a head kick by Smith.
Assman lands with a right hand.
Smith takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Assman lands with a nice combination. Smith backs away looking to recover.
Smith takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Assman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.

No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith takes a jab right on the kisser.
Assman lands with a hook. Smith tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Assman connects with a looping right hand.
Smith throws a head kick that misses.
Assman throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Smith keeps the fight on the outside.
Assman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Assman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Smith thows a left - swing and a miss!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Assman, as that shot connected.
Smith has a takedown stuffed.
Smith walks into a jab.
Assman wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance.
Smith gets a clinch.
Smith tries a knee to the head but Assman blocks it.
Smith with an attempt at a knee that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Assman has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Smith is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Smith connects with a nasty looking knee right to Assman's face.

Smith looks gassed!
Assman has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Smith uses from the top position.
Smith stops Assman from standing up.
Assman uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Assman lands a really nice looking cross but Smith seems unphased.
Smith takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Assman tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it.
Smith gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Assman scores with a three punch combo!
Assman is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

and Smith counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Smith is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Assman moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Assman moves out of range easily.
Assman is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Assman scores with a jab to the head.
Assman moves out of range of the body kick from Smith.
Assman connects with a nice looking jab.
Smith walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Assman moves out of range of the strikes.
Left hook, right uppercut from Assman.
Smith dances in with a quick combination. Assman is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Smith snaps Assman's head back. Assman stumbles backwards against the cage. Smith steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Assman's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Assman just didn't come prepared.
