Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Juan DeMarco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Layzie Assassin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Assassin has chosen Thuggish Ruggish Bone as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assassin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
DeMarco misses with a kick to the body.
DeMarco tries to score a power double leg takedown but Assassin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten DeMarco somewhat.

Don Juan DeMarco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Assassin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

DeMarco is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Assassin still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Assassin has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Assassin creates some space and throws a big elbow, but DeMarco sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Assassin takes a swing at DeMarco's ribcage but misses.
Assassin scores with a one two! DeMarco had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Assassin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Assassin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. DeMarco gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

DeMarco got a little sloppy there for a moment and Assassin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, DeMarco has managed to get both his arms back between Assassin's legs - danger averted.

Layzie Assassin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
