PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cross Odenkirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blake Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Blake Stevenson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odenkirk cracks Stevenson with an open hand slap.
Stevenson is looking to clinch.
Odenkirk throws a head kick but Stevenson moves out of range.

Odenkirk rushes Stevenson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Odenkirk wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Stevenson has him pressed against the cage.

Odenkirk breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Odenkirk changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stevenson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Odenkirk is looking to take a break and control but Stevenson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Stevenson tries to kick Odenkirk off but Odenkirk keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Odenkirk wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Stevenson uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

Stevenson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Stevenson is looking for a kimura but Odenkirk is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Stevenson to get the leverage.

Stevenson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Odenkirk tries to score a body lock takedown but Stevenson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
