Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Fredericks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kane's entrance music is Gang of Four - I love a Man in Uniform. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fredericks drops Kane with a beautiful combination! Kane stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Fredericks is looking for the KO!

Kane is rocked!
A decent looking cross lands there for Kane.
Oh Kane is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fredericks throws a right hand that Kane ducks under and follows up with a left that Kane also avoids with ease.
Kane seems to have got his legs back now.
Fredericks lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kane with a jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kane avoids the body shot from Fredericks.
Fredericks will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Fredericks misses with a straight left.
Fredericks tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Fredericks goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Fredericks does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Fredericks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kane manages to avoid it.
Fredericks takes a swing at Kane's ribcage but misses.
Fredericks looks for the body kick but Kane saw that one coming.
Fredericks pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kane is out of range and Fredericks settles back down.
Kane looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Fredericks swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kane tries to clinch but Fredericks is having none of it.
Fredericks looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kane cracks Fredericks with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Fredericks tries to clinch up but Kane circles away and keeps his distance.
Fredericks misses with a jab, cross combination.
Fredericks throws a nice head kick!

Kane closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kane is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fredericks knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Kane with the ground and pound but Fredericks regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Kane working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Fredericks's thigh. Fredericks counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Kane slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Kane with a flurry of punches that miss.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kane is trying to control the action in half guard but Fredericks is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Fredericks keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fredericks can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kane seems to be working for a kimura but Fredericks defends the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Joe Fredericks will probably get the nod.
That's time! Kane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Kane shoots in looking for a takedown. Fredericks tries to sprawl out of it but Kane keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fredericks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kane misses with a hook. Fredericks ducked under it nicely.
Kane shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fredericks but Fredericks pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fredericks lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fredericks steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Kane is out on his feet! Fredericks sets himself and nearly takes Kane's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
