Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Dover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim McAllister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McAllister tries to close the distance and clinch but Dover swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Dover has taken the fight to the clinch.

It looks like Jim McAllister has been cut.
McAllister keeps control of Dover as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

McAllister turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and McAllister manages to end up in side control.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. McAllister connects with a nice short shot to Dover's temple.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dover stalks McAllister and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into McAllister's face. McAllister staggers backwards, shaken.
McAllister tries to clinch but Dover moves out of range.
Dover avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Dover throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Dover drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
McAllister seems keen to control Dover's posture.

McAllister wants to improve his position but Dover is controlling well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McAllister is trying to maintain the position but Dover is very close to passing his half guard.
Dover tries to stand and escape but McAllister is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dover breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McAllister fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dover avoids it really well and circles away.
Ben Dover has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim McAllister.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Dover.
Dover dives in and grabs McAllister's left leg, looking for a takedown. McAllister pushes down on Dover's head and hops out.

Dover shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McAllister's guard.

I think McAllister has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
