The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanhi throws a hook to the side of Thron's head but Thron sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hanhi throws a body punch but Thron moves out of range.
Thron misses with a hook.
Thron looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hanhi is fending him off so far but Thron persists. Nope, Hanhi circles away and we're back to standing.
Hanhi thuds a left hand into Thron's body.
Hanhi scores with a shot to the body.
Hanhi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Thron has time to react.
Thron walks into a left hand.
Hanhi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hanhi takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hanhi slaps away a takedown attempt from Thron, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Miki Thron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hanhi throws a shot to the body.
Thron is breathing heavily.

Thron lands a glancing blow to the side of Hanhi's head.
Horrible takedown by Thron or perhaps it was just good defense by Hanhi which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miki Thron. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hanhi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hanhi wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Thron dives in and grabs Hanhi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hanhi pushes down on Thron's head and hops out.

Thron scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Thron wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hanhi, who protects the arm well.
Hanhi is looking for a sweep.

Thron is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Hanhi looks calm but he's in trouble here. Thron gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Hanhi is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Thron lets go of the hold and Hanhi can pop his arm back in it's socket.
