The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredric tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Fredric looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gakanori is trying to stand back up but Fredric is controlling him

Gakanori has one foot on Fredric's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Fredric stuffs the takedown attempt from Gakanori. Gakanori gets slowly back to his feet.

Fredric gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Gakanori drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gakanori has had enough of the clinch but Fredric keeps him there for the moment.
Fredric lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Gakanori backwards.
Fredric stalls.

Gakanori gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Fredric wants to get back to his feet but Gakanori is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Gakanori gets to his feet. Fredric looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Fredric blocks the body kick.
Fredric moves in looking to clinch but Gakanori pushes him off.
Gakanori shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Randy Fredric has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomi Gakanori.

Fredric tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gakanori swivels and escapes.
Gakanori throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Fredric fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gakanori.

Gakanori darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Fredric is trying to maintain the position but Gakanori is very close to passing his half guard.

Gakanori decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fredric, up you get!

Fredric lands a nice shot that snaps Gakanori's head back.

Fredric closes the distance looking for a takedown. Fredric picks Gakanori up and slams him brutally to the floor. Gakanori is out! He's out cold! Wow, you don't see a finish like that every day!
