The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yokohama takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Yokohama looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Yokohama is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Johnson wants to control but Yokohama is keeping busy.
Johnson wants to improve his position but Yokohama is controlling well.
Johnson is looking to control Yokohama's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Johnson avoid being mounted?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yokohama is trying to work for a kimura but Johnson is defending well.

Yokohama has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Yokohama keeps moving.
Johnson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Yokohama kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Yokohama can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Johnson controls the pace.
Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Yokohama escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Johnson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Yokohama looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Yokohama had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Johnson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Yokohama Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Johnson's back instead.
