The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Massimus moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Massimus shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Smith defends it nicely.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Darius Massimus.
