The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kurihara fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Takayama sprawls well initially but Kurihara persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Kurihara is working for an americana but Takayama has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Kurihara was thinking about the submission.

Kurihara knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takayama on the ground.
Takayama seems keen to control Kurihara's posture.

Kurihara is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Takayama has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Kurihara is looking to defend but Takayama has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Kurihara! Takayama pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Kurihara taps out and this one is all over!
