PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Petreski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Prateado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Petreski comes to the cage accompanied by I Had to Kill a Lot of People. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vlad Petreski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fred Prateado!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Petreski scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Petreski drops back looking for a leg! Prateado is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Prateado manages to kick Petreski off! Petreski jumps back into Prateado's guard.

Petreski keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Prateado's head.

Prateado isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Petreski stacks Prateado on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Petreski!

Petreski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Petreski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Prateado can't do much from the bottom here.

Petreski tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Prateado is not content to let Petreski control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Prateado is looking to reverse the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Petreski closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Petreski is looking to take a break and control but Prateado is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Petreski tries to score with some ground and pound. Prateado controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
