Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cole Elliot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Minard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elliot comes to the cage accompanied by Party Up. Minard has chosen Walk as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elliot walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Minard closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Minard lands in his opponent's guard.
Minard wants to pass the guard but Elliot is keeping the position.
Minard wants to control from the top but Elliot keeps moving.
Minard loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Minard must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Elliot is on top in guard.
Minard looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Minard is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Minard working a defensive guard but Elliot manages to pass into side control anyway.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Minard looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Elliot passes into side control.

A lull in the action here.

Elliot tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Elliot has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Minard is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Minard seems a little lost for a moment, as Elliot dominates the positioning.
Minard tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Elliot goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Minard has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Elliot but great work by Minard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Liam Minard dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Elliot steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Minard.

Minard looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Elliot!

Minard is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Elliot is controlling him.

Minard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Elliot gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Elliot in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Minard tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Elliot!
