The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Woods drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Woods working the strikes but nprayfive uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Woods has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Woods is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
nprayfive manages to get to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
nprayfive has his hands on Woods's head, controlling the position.

Woods throws a big right hand that misses.
Woods in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Woods trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

nprayfive will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Woods stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. nprayfive swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
nprayfive wants to sweep here but Woods controlling him for the moment.
nprayfive is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That was a close round but I would say that lay nprayfive will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

nprayfive stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and nprayfive wants it to stay on the feet.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Woods dives in and grabs nprayfive's left leg, looking for a takedown. nprayfive pushes down on Woods's head and hops out.
Grady Woods seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Woods throws a hook but nprayfive blocks it.
Woods avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Woods tries to score a power double leg takedown but nprayfive sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Woods somewhat.

Woods wants to improve his position but instead nprayfive has moved into half guard.

Woods tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. nprayfive just stands there and leans against the cage.

Woods takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

nprayfive looks to throw the jab but Woods is out of range.
nprayfive misses with a body kick.
nprayfive ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Woods moves away.

Woods gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
nprayfive passes Woods's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

nprayfive is pressing down on Woods's thigh, looking to free his foot. Woods is holding on for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
