The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Santos pinned against the cage. Santos gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
St Pierre closes the distance and clinches up with Santos, looking for a takedown. St Pierre pushes Santos against the cage but Santos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Santos scores with a head kick.
Santos stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Santos wants it to stay on the feet.
Mattheus Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt St Pierre.
St Pierre shoots in but Santos avoids the takedown attempt easily.
