The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stotch tries to keep at a distance but Muresan has taken the fight into the clinch.

Stotch works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Stotch shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Stotch throws a big right hand that misses.
Stotch trying to control the position from guard on top but Muresan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Muresan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stotch gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Stotch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Muresan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stotch accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Muresan is looking for a triangle but Stotch pushes his legs off easily.

Muresan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Stotch postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

With the fighters up against the cage, Stotch throws an elbow but misses.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Stotch pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Stotch scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Stotch lands a lovely overhand right.
Stotch moves out of range of the body kick from Muresan.
Stotch digs a good body shot into Muresan's ribs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stotch buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Muresan ducks right into an uppercut from Stotch.

Stotch throws a nice inside leg kick.

Stotch closes the distance and clinches.
Muresan tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Stotch working hard to break the clinch.
Stotch lands with a short shot to the head.

Stotch breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stotch fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Muresan.
Muresan gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Stotch.
Muresan walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Stotch throws a right and a left that both miss.
Stotch lands a nice shot that snaps Muresan's head back.
An inside leg kick lands from Stotch.

Muresan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Stotch dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Stotch works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Stotch jabs Muresan right on the nose. Muresan blinks but takes it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stotch creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Muresan with a big uppercut! Muresan tries to clinch up but Stotch pushes him back against the cage and lands another moster strike that crumples Muresan to the mat! Muresan covers up and Stotch unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
