Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joe Acton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrick Diccico!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Diccico looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Acton circles away from the clinch attempt.

Acton closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Diccico is looking to reverse the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Diccico is in all sorts of trouble here.

Acton with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Acton wants to control but Diccico is keeping him busy.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Acton is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Diccico gets full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Acton dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Acton fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Diccico sprawls well initially but Acton persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Acton has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Diccico is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Acton yanks on the arm and Diccico is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Acton.
