Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shina Ikoa Nagura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddy Taksin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shina Ikoa Nagura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eddy Taksin!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taksin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Nagura keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Taksin's head.

Nagura gets to his feet. Taksin looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Taksin throws a head kick that misses.

It looks like Shina Ikoa Nagura has been cut.
Eddy Taksin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Taksin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Taksin pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Nagura shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Taksin is trying to defend but Nagura finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Nagura is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Taksin defends it well.
Nagura looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Taksin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Nagura is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Taksin!
Nagura thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Nagura tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nagura seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Taksin for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Nagura jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Taksin is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Taksin and Nagura has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Nagura postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Nagura stands up and beckons Taksin to his feet.

Nagura closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nagura lands in his opponent's guard.
Nagura has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Nagura's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Taksin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Nagura closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Nagura is looking for a kimura but Taksin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nagura to get the leverage.

Nagura looks to land a strike but Taksin avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Nagura not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Shina Ikoa Nagura just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Taksin throws a sloppy head kick and Nagura moves out of range easily.
Shina Ikoa Nagura is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nagura looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Taksin is fending him off so far but Nagura persists. Nope, Taksin circles away and we're back to standing.

Taksin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Taksin moves in looking to clinch but Nagura pushes him off.

Nagura closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Taksin did well to prevent Nagura getting side control.

Taksin wants to get back to his feet.
Nagura drops an elbow to the side of Taksin's head.
Taksin has hold of Nagura's hands but Nagura slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Nagura is nestled in close to Taksin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Nagura tries to pass the half guard into mount. Taksin knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Nagura seems to be working for a kimura but Taksin defends the submission attempt.
Well, if Nagura is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Taksin wants to get back to his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Nagura is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Nagura not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Nagura works his way into side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Nagura decides to stand back up.

Nagura is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Nagura finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Shina Ikoa Nagura overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nagura in particular looking to stall.
Nagura is looking to advance position but Taksin won't allow it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nagura, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
