Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jaaron Cent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuu Saga!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cent fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Saga avoids it really well and circles away.
Cent tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Saga swivels and escapes.
Saga bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Cent is not content to let Saga control the position.
Saga thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Saga has an Americana. Cent didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Saga is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Saga hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Yuu Saga!
