The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rua's waist but Rua gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Powers off to one side.
Powers shoots in for a takedown but Rua shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Powers closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rua circles away.
Jorge Rua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Powers.
