Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baby Firefly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baby Firefly will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rio Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baby Firefly!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Firefly misses with a wild combination.

Gracie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gracie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Firefly dives on top into guard.

Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Firefly gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Firefly pushing down on Gracie's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
It looks like Firefly is going to stand back up.
Firefly thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gracie's head.
Gracie wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie actively working from the bottom here.
Gracie is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Firefly jumps into side control!

Firefly stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Gracie takes a jab right on the kisser.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Firefly.
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Gracie tries for a takedown but Firefly sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Firefly throws and low kick but Gracie moves out of range easily.
Firefly scores with a three punch combo!
The fighters circle momentarily. Firefly darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Gracie is rocked!

It looks like Rio Gracie has been cut.
Firefly lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gracie backs up against the cage.
Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Firefly connects with a stiff jab that staggers Gracie - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
