Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slavonik Powarenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and sosed sverhy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). sverhy has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Slavonik Powarenko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
sverhy throws a series of strikes that have Powarenko backpedaling.

Powarenko feints and as sverhy raises his hands in defense, Powarenko changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Powarenko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Powarenko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Powarenko is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

sverhy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Powarenko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, sverhy has managed to get both his arms back between Powarenko's legs - danger averted.

Powarenko postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! sverhy is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Powarenko, into his guard.

sverhy shoots in and drives through. Powarenko sprawls well.

Powarenko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
