Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big BiLL (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norman Jean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BiLL connects with a crisp jab.

It looks like Norman Jean has been cut.
Jean fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jean fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
BiLL lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jean circles away quickly and effectively.
Jean takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Jean scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
BiLL tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Jean presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Jean throws some wild stikes that BiLL manages to avoid easily.

BiLL tries to get back to half guard but can't.
BiLL is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Jean misses with a head shot.

Jean goes for an armbar but he's not got it… BiLL turns into him and now he's in Jean's guard.
BiLL wants to get up but he can't break Jean's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

BiLL postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jean is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of BiLL, into his guard.

Jean wants to get up but he can't break BiLL's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Jean is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Jean throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

BiLL is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jean wants to control from the top but BiLL keeps moving.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jean is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Jean throws and elbow that misses. BiLL uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jean's guard. Nice move by BiLL!

BiLL slips a nice elbow through Jean's hands, connecting with Jean's forehead.
BiLL wants to pass to mount but Jean is defending the position.

BiLL is working for a kimura but Jean is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Jean holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
BiLL is thwarting Jean's attempts to control the position.
BiLL prevents Jean from improving his position.
Jean looks gassed!

Jean makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jean.

Jean isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. BiLL stacks Jean on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by BiLL!
BiLL will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Big BiLL will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

BiLL works over Jean's head and body with a nice combination.
BiLL looks to land a combination but Jean avoids it well.

Jean closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. BiLL did well to prevent Jean getting side control.
BiLL is trying to maintain the position but Jean is very close to passing his half guard.

Jean is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

BiLL wants to control from the top but Jean keeps moving.

BiLL drops back looking for a leg! Jean is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jean manages to kick BiLL off! BiLL jumps back into Jean's guard.

Jean tries to land a sweep but no joy.
BiLL tries to stand but Jean is controlling from the bottom.

Jean is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
BiLL wants to control from the top but Jean keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A punch combination from BiLL misses.

BiLL lands a jab-cross combination.
BiLL throws a right and a left that both miss.
BiLL uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
BiLL fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jean dodges the punch combination from BiLL.
BiLL bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jean's head backwards.
BiLL lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Jean backs up against the ropes.
BiLL is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
BiLL goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

That has opened up Norman Jean's cut even more.
BiLL rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jean moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
BiLL fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
BiLL scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

BiLL lands a jab-cross combination.
BiLL stuns Jean with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
BiLL misses with a few strikes there.
Jean wants to clinch up but BiLL keeps it at a distance.
BiLL closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Big BiLL is winning the standup battle so far.
No joy there for BiLL, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

BiLL lands a left and a right that send Jean crashing to the mat, dazed. BiLL thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

BiLL ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
BiLL throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Jean stumbling backwards into the ropes! Jean bounces back off the ropes towards BiLL, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! BiLL lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! BiLL celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
