Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlo Gambino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Carlo Gambino!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gambino is looking to clinch.

Gambino is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Johnson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gambino looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gambino looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gambino!

Gambino decides to stand up, so the ref orders Johnson to his feet.

Johnson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Johnson is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Gambino still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Gambino has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Gambino decides to stand up, so the ref orders Johnson to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gambino got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johnson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gambino has managed to get both his arms back between Johnson's legs - danger averted.
