Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges Bomb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ryan Gracie has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Georges Bomb!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bomb closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gracie circles away.
Gracie shoots and misses

and Bomb counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie is looking to stand up but Bomb isn't so interested in that idea.
Bomb trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Gracie wants to get back to his feet but Bomb is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Bomb really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bomb drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bomb jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Bomb shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bomb was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bomb lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Gracie tries to reverse the position but Bomb maintains control.
Bomb is landing with some decent strikes but Gracie is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Georges Bomb dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Bomb shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bomb showed some decent athleticism there.

Gracie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bomb is looking to regain half guard here but Gracie keeps moving and retains side control.

Gracie seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bomb for as long as he can get away with.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bomb can do anything to dispel that myth.

Gracie remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Bomb tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bomb has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

I think Bomb has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
