Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryu Hoshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Enzo Cordero!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cordero fails with the takedown.

Hoshi closes the distance and clinches.

Hoshi breaks from the clinch.
Cordero closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hoshi circles away.
Cordero lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Hoshi moves into range and clinches up with Cordero.
Hoshi has Cordero pressed against the cage.

Hoshi drags the fight down to the ground.
Cordero tries to free his leg and advance position but Hoshi is retaining full guard.
Hoshi lands a good elbow from the bottom.
Hoshi wants to stand and escape but Cordero is having none of it.
Cordero forces his way into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hoshi is trying to get back to full guard.

Cordero wants to work for an arm triangle but Hoshi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hoshi wants to get back to his feet.
Cordero seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Cordero prevents Hoshi from standing back up.
Cordero is thwarting Hoshi's attempts to control the position.

Cordero seems to be working for a kimura but Hoshi defends the submission attempt.
Hoshi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cordero on the ground.

Cordero is looking for a kimura here.

Hoshi looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Hoshi is looking to escape.
Cordero is trying to control the action in half guard but Hoshi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Hoshi is trying to stand.

Cordero is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Cordero looks gassed!
Hoshi punching from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hoshi is not content to let Cordero control the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Cordero is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hoshi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ryu Hoshi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Enzo Cordero.
Hoshi is looking to clinch but Cordero is avoiding it.
Cordero dodges the punch combination from Hoshi.
Hoshi is looking to clinch.
Hoshi throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Hoshi rushes Cordero and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Hoshi breaks the clinch.

Hoshi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Cordero looking for submissions off his back.

Cordero is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hoshi pulls his head out easily.
Hoshi tries to pass to full mount but Cordero defends it.
Hoshi is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Hoshi stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryu Hoshi dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Hoshi looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Cordero has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Hoshi. Oh but Cordero has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Hoshi goes limp - he's gone! Cordero jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Enzo Cordero!
