Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Brasco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenpachi Zaraki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Donnie Brasco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenpachi Zaraki!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brasco misses with a two punch combination.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brasco tries to stand but Zaraki is controlling from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Zaraki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brasco tries to avoid it but Zaraki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brasco to the ground. Brasco escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Donnie Brasco is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Zaraki takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Brasco is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Brasco bucks up and throws Zaraki to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Zaraki closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Zaraki lands in his opponent's guard.
Zaraki slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Zaraki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Zaraki is looking to work some ground and pound but Brasco has wrist control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Zaraki shoots in for a takedown but Brasco shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Donnie Brasco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenpachi Zaraki.

Kenpachi Zaraki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brasco tries to bum rush Zaraki with a series of wild strikes but Zaraki uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Zaraki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brasco but Brasco pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Brasco uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Zaraki has time to react.

Zaraki shoots in looking for a takedown. Brasco tries to sprawl out of it but Zaraki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brasco manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Brasco lands a nice shot to the body.
Zaraki takes a jab right on the kisser.
Brasco thows a body shot but no joy.
Zaraki will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Zaraki crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Brasco - the referee stops the clock and Zaraki gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Brasco. Zaraki manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Brasco lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Brasco throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

It looks like Kenpachi Zaraki has been cut.
Brasco comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Brasco fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Brasco. Zaraki shrugs it off though.
Brasco ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Brasco punishes Zaraki's body with a nice straight punch.
Brasco smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Brasco rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zaraki moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
No joy there for Brasco, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Donnie Brasco showed his dominance in that final round.
