Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Carr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sub Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sub Zero acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ronald Carr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sub Zero!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carr shoots in but Zero avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Zero gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Carr counters with a single leg into guard. Zero didn't expect that.
Carr is in close to Zero's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Carr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Zero looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Zero has control of Carr's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Carr regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Zero jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Carr manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Carr throws a couple of heel strikes.
Carr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zero on the ground.

Carr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Zero shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carr but Carr pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Zero counters with a nice double leg into side control. Carr won't be happy with that.

Carr is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Zero decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Carr's guard.

Zero stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Carr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Zero makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Zero.
Zero lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Carr!
Carr on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carr tries to get out of the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Zero is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Carr to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Carr shrugs it off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sub Zero dominated that round.
That's time! Carr's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Zero bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carr's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zero has a hand on Carr's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Carr takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Zero is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Carr has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Zero's face.
Carr throwing strikes here but Zero is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Zero regains half guard.
Carr not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Carr is nestled in close to Zero, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Sub Zero showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
