Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Forza Gr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Gustavsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gustavsson has chosen Shotgun Blues as his entrance music. Alex Gustavsson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gr darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Gr prevents Gustavsson from improving his position.

Gustavsson wants to improve his position but Gr is controlling well.

Gustavsson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Gr tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gr has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Gustavsson is looking to reverse the position.
Gr could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gr swings around for an armbar but Gustavsson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gr's guard.

Gustavsson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gr works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gustavsson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Gr wants to sweep but no luck.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gustavsson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gr swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gustavsson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Gustavsson drops Gr with a beautiful combination! Gr stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gustavsson is looking for the KO!
The crowd cheers as Gustavsson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gr doesn't seem phased though.
Gustavsson cracks Gr with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alex Gustavsson dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Gustavsson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Gr keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Gr closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Gr has an Americana. Gustavsson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gr is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gr hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
