The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hansen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
velazquez should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
velazquez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hansen wants to stand up but velazquez has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Hansen missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
velazquez is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hansen lands a nice short elbow.
Hansen lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hansen connects with a nice short shot to velazquez's temple.
Hansen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for velazquez on the ground.

jordy velazquez's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at jordy velazquez's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
