Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Wiet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bean pole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wiet might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mia - Paper Planes. Mike Wiet has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Bean pole!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wiet is looking to clinch.

Wiet moves in looking to clinch but pole pushes him off.

pole tries a head kick but it misses.
pole throws a head kick but Wiet moves out of range.
Wiet tries to clinch up but pole circles away and keeps his distance.
pole swats away the attempt to clinch by Wiet.

Wiet tries to close the distance and clinch but pole swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

pole jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wiet walks away with a smile on his face. pole gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mike Wiet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bean pole.

Wiet fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with pole, pushing him back against the cage.

pole manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wiet got a little sloppy there for a moment and pole has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wiet has managed to get both his arms back between pole's legs - danger averted.

pole looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Wiet gets to his feet - pole follows without any prompting.

Bean pole dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

pole turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Crack! A monster head kick from pole and Wiet falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by pole!
