Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Cute (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cute might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eye of the Tiger. Hughes is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Extreme Fight Music. Eddie Hughes is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes shoots in for a takedown but Cute shows good takedown defense.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cute.
Hughes throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Tom Cute has been cut.
Cute tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Hughes turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hughes manages to end up in side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cute pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Some bone on bone action there as Cute checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Hughes shoots in for a double leg but Cute sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
