The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Harvey counters with a shoot takedown. silva fights it but they end up in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
silva wants to hit a switch here but Harvey passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for silva there!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harvey is trying to stick to silva's back but silva is turning into Harvey. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Harvey's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by silva.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Harvey misses with a takedown attempt - silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Harvey shoots in but no luck this time.
Harvey is breathing heavily.
Harvey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. silva tries to avoid it but Harvey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag silva to the ground. silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Murphy Harvey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A head kick from silva lands but Harvey takes it in his stride.

silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
It's a brutal combination of punches from silva! Harvey is backing up but he can't get away as silva lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Harvey and ends the fight. Great knockout.
