Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ralf Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Poker Stars (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Mulheres - Martinho da Vila. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ralf Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Poker Stars!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stars tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gracie sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stars somewhat.
Gracie misses with a takedown
and Stars counters with a low kick, right behind Gracie 's knee.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Stars shoots and misses

and Gracie decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stars's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Stars manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Stars in his guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gracie will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stars can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gracie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Stars is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Stars has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gracie has his foot on Stars's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stars works his way back into a safe position though.

Gracie stuffs the takedown.
Stars shoots in looking for a takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl out of it but Stars keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gracie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Stars will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ralf Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Poker Stars.

Gracie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stars has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Stars's legs - danger averted.

Ralf Gracie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Stars is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold.

and Gracie holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gracie tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Stars smiles and moves away.

and Stars counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Gracie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stars walks away with a smile on his face. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Gracie defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stars.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stars doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stars manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gracie has his feet on Stars's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stars but Stars pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Stars is pushing Gracie's head away, looking to escape. Gracie manages to hold on to the position though.

Gracie works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stars is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Ralf Gracie showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gracie, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
