Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Giurgous Tsotes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jared Kerr!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr wants to clinch up but Tsotes keeps it at a distance.
Kerr tries to close the distance and clinch but Tsotes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kerr throws a leg kick but Tsotes sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Tsotes walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Tsotes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kerr.
Kerr tries to bum rush Tsotes with a series of wild strikes but Tsotes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kerr throws a low kick but it's checked well by Tsotes.
Kerr tries to clinch up but Tsotes circles away and keeps his distance.
Kerr pivots, looking for a leg kick but Tsotes is out of range and Kerr settles back down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kerr paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kerr misses with a two punch combination.
Kerr throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tsotes.

Tsotes scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Kerr is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kerr is looking for a sweep.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kerr looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kerr throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kerr throws a nice looking combination but Tsotes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kerr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tsotes paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Tsotes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kerr escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tsotes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kerr is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tsotes is aware though and is defending well.

Tsotes controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Kerr escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tsotes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Tsotes's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Tsotes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kerr has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tsotes has managed to get both his arms back between Kerr's legs - danger averted.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Kerr wants to sweep here but Tsotes controlling him for the moment.
Tsotes stays in close to Kerr's body and controls the position.
Tsotes has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Kerr escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tsotes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kerr wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tsotes takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

and Tsotes counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tsotes is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kerr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kerr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Kerr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tsotes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kerr can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tsotes controls the pace.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Tsotes avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Tsotes not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Kerr not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Kerr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tsotes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tsotes controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Kerr has his foot on Tsotes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tsotes works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tsotes doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kerr counters with a nice uppercut.
Kerr is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tsotes.
Kerr fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kerr wants to clinch

so Tsotes counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Tsotes is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kerr looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tsotes is one step ahead there.
Tsotes controlling from the top position.

Kerr had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tsotes defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Tsotes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Tsotes decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Kerr throws a series of punches but Tsotes moves out of range.
Kerr closes the distance but Tsotes moves to the side

Giurgous Tsotes showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tsotes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
