Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mason Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dog Beta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dixon comes to the cage accompanied by It's A Fight by Three 6 Mafia. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Beta looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Dixon decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Beta's guard.

Dixon drops back looking for a leg! Beta is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Beta manages to kick Dixon off! Dixon jumps back into Beta's guard.

Dixon has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Beta is proving hard to escape from.
Beta looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Dixon is pushing down on Beta's leg trying to pass to half guard. Beta is fighting to maintain full guard but Dixon has managed to sneak the leg through.

Dixon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Beta is just riding it out for now. Dixon eventually gives up the hold.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Dixon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Beta has managed to free his arm - good work.
Dixon wants to pass the guard but Beta is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beta keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Dixon is looking for a kimura but Beta is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dixon to get the leverage.

Dixon shoots in looking for a takedown. Beta tries to sprawl out of it but Dixon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Beta manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Beta throws a solid leg kick but Dixon takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Beta.

Beta lands a left hand that snaps the head of Dixon backwards.
Dixon tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Beta just stands there and leans against the cage.

Beta pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Beta scores with a knee to the head.
The referee calls for Beta to work.
Beta with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Beta takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Beta's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Beta throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dixon blocks it with crossed arms.
Dixon drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mason Dixon.
I think Dixon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
