The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vart shoots in and drives through. Steffensen sprawls well.
Vart tries to clinch there but Steffensen circles away.
Steffensen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Vart takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Vart misses with a takedown attempt - Steffensen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Vart closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Steffensen did well to prevent Vart getting side control.
Steffensen is looking to improve his position.

Vart seems to be working for a kimura but Steffensen defends the submission attempt.
Steffensen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vart's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vart's back!
